WWE’s Survivor Series (2009), the pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment is set to take place this November 22, 2009 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., USA.

There are six wrestling matches in the event. Three of these matches are a variety of tag team matches with elimination rules in effect in the tradition of the Survivor Series.

These are the matches:

Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels

Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship
The Undertaker (c) vs. The Big Show vs. Chris Jericho

Singles match
Batista vs. Rey Mysterio

Marvin “Marvelous” Sonsona became the second youngest Filipino world champion in history after defeating WBO Junior Bantamweight champion Jose Lopez of Puerto Rico last September at Casino Rama, in Rama, Ontario, Canada.

In the main event of UFC 106: Ortiz vs Griffin 2 on November 21, 2009 at at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; Tito “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” meets Forrest Griffin inside the Octagon for the second time.

After a one-year break from the world of mixed-martial arts, Tito Ortiz returns to the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) organization after being defeated by UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida at UFC 84. His new contract is for a six fight deal. He is hoping to regain his former status as one of the sport’s biggest stars, after becoming the biggest pay-per-view draw of 2006.

At UFC 106: Ortiz vs Griffin 2, welterweights Josh “Kos” Koscheck and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson will meet inside the Octagon as the co-main event fight in the loaded UFC 106 fight card headlined by Tito Ortiz vs Forrest Griffin.

UFC 106 will be staged just one week after UFC 105: Couture vs Vera at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on November 21, 2009.
