The Cleveland Cavaliers with first-time NBA MVP Lebron James at the helm has already advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals since May 12 via a 4-0 sweep of the Atlanta Hawks. The Denver Nuggets on the other hand won Game 5 of their Semifinals encounter with the Dallas Mavericks today to take the series 4-1 and earn the first berth to the Western Conference Finals.

Two other Semifinals series are still underway.

In the Western Conference, the LA Lakers currently have the lead 3-2 over the Houston Rockets who is trying to make it even and force Game 7.

I made this post Pacquiao vs Hatton 2nd Round KO Video right after that boxing event. I downloaded the full video of the bout at YouTube (if you don’t know how to do that, read my post about it How to Download YouTube Videos), edited it by showing only the final knockdown portion and changing the background audio to a lullaby and then uploaded it back to YouTube. But one day later, I noticed that the video when played displays the message “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Home Box Office, Inc..”. Apparently, YouTube did a crackdown on ALL videos about the bout that has no copyright. That’s how strict  and how fast YouTube is in implementing its rules. The worst thing is that, my account was also deleted due to repeated copyright violations, hehe..

And so I tried Metacafe. I uploaded the video to their web site, linked my post to it and the video is again playable. But one day later, the same thing happened. It was again deleted by Metacafe due to copyright issues. WTF?!  Although I don’t want to do it, I was forced to upload the video to my host server. Now, no one can delete it (except me and  my host of course). I embedded the video through the TinyMCE editor and republish the post.

Star Trek, the nth movie installment from the seminal Star Trek franchise has overtaken X-Men Origins: Wolverine as the number one film today by raking in $72.5 million on its opening weekend. Based on the film trailers I’ve seen, this one looks awesome. Parang Star Wars meets Transformers ang dating sa ganda ng trailer.

But the one thing that really caught my interest is the actor playing Mr. Spock. It’s Zachary Quinto! Yes, it’s super villain Sylar himself from the TV series Heroes. I’m a big fan of the series and in fact have already watched all episodes except that of Season 3 Volume 4. Pag may pirated DVD na nun, bibili ako, hehehe… Anyway, he is so despicable in TV that it’s refreshing to see him play a new role in the movies. It also happened that this is first movie role.

NOTE: I’m making a series of blogs narrating the events last year that led to our wedding on December 22, 2007. I’m making this to share to others and for me and my wife to always remember how we became hitched to each other. This is the twelfth blog in the series.

We hired the services of Rey Rellon Studio of Davao City to capture the moments of the most wonderful day of our lives. The pictures the three photographers/videographers they sent (who were all experts and really know what they are doing) during the pre-wedding preparations, at the wedding and at the reception were all wonderful and terrific. The wedding portrait they made is also beautiful.

After four months of editing and proofreading, the wedding album they created was all done perfectly. See for yourself how beautiful the finished product is.

Coming home from field work, I arrived at home yesterday with a letter from Google. It was what I’ve been expecting this past 2 weeks, my Google Adsense (GA) PIN (Personal Identification Number). When my GA earnings reached $10 around 3rd week of March, Google prompted me to enter where I wanted my PIN to be sent. The PIN is supposed to verify the accuracy of my contact information and to help ensure that I will receive my GA payments.

I checked the letter and found out that it was received by our local post office last April 15 (3 weeks later) but for some reasons, it was delivered to my place only last week after more than 2 weeks of gathering dust at the post office. Sigh, nothing new with our postal system really. Sooo incompetent! This is why I always use LBC or JRS when sending letters/packages locally to my friends and acquiantances.

Which reminded me of the advertisement on TV… spell REMITTANCE. Hay naku, kaya lalo’ng nagiging bobo ang mga kabataan ngayon.

I was pretty amazed when I opened my Gmail account yesterday and got an email telling me that $15 has been deposited to my PayPal account by Izea, Inc. Here’s the screen shot:

Thinking that it was just a joke, I immediately logged-in to PayPal and true enough, $15 really has been deposited to me by Izea, Inc. It says that the payment was for a referral to Payperpost.
