It was the first time for mixed-martial arts fighter Todd Duffee to enter the Octagon. And what a debut it was!

At the undercard of UFC 102 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon, USA on August 29, 2009, Duffee set a record for the fastest knockout in Ultimate Fighting Championship history by throwing a left jab that caught Tim Hague’s left cheek which immediately sent him down to the canvas. The fight was finished in 7 seconds!

Afterwards, Duffee said to the camera,

“That was an appetizer, I want to eat now Dana, let me eat!”

Dana of course refers to UFC President, Dana White.

It was just last night when I checked my Adsense account when I realized that Google had already sent me the Western Union money transfer control number (MTCN) for my first payout. Yippee! Akala ko sa 30 pa, first time ko kasi eh.

Below is the screen shot. Yes, my first payout is $159.58. I got that after 6 months of blogging at this site. My old site was really not intended for making money online so I have not earned anything from it. Anyway, I originally thought that I’ll reach the minimum $100 payment threshold in 10 months but thanks to some “sizzling hoottt” keywords, napaaga ng 5 months.

Actually, luma na ang kanta ng Kamikazee na “Narda”. Noong 2005 pa ito narelease galing sa album nila na “Maharot”. Iyon din ang time na ipinalabas ang teleserye na Darna sa GMA 7 na pinagbibidahan ni Angel Locsin.

Ngunit dahil may bago na namang Darna sa katauhan ni Marian Rivera na kasalukuyang ipinapalabas sa Kapuso Network, at nagkataong ang kantang Narda ang theme song ng teleserye, muli na namang nagbabalik ang tanong, “Bastos nga ba iyon?”

Baybayin is the ancient writing system of the early Filipinos before we were colonized by the Spaniards. It is believed to have been in use as early as the 14th century and lasted up until the late 19th Century. Baybayin is more popularly known as Alibata.

Here’s my full name in Alibata. Cool eh? I first realized how cool our ancient script is when the late Francis Magalona used it in his Freeman album.

FrancisM is also known to have Alibata tattoos as well as many Pinoys out there. Siguro pag tinopak ako, ipapatattoo ko ung Alibata name ko sa palibot ng braso ko. Hindi, sa leeg na lang para mas shocking, hehe..

In the other Light Heavyweight fight of the main card of UFC 102: Couture vs Nogueira, Brandon “The Truth” Vera met Krzysztof “The Polish Experiment” Soszynski inside the Octagon.

It was scheduled at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon, USA on August 29, 2009 (August 30, Sunday here in the Philippines)

Soszynski just could not keep his game going against Vera’s superior Muay Thai skills. It was enough for Vera to pull off a Unanimous decision albeit boring win.
