The co-main event of UFC 101: Declaration featuring UFC middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva moving up in weight to meet former UFC light-heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin in a non-title bout was a mismatch of massive proportion.
Anderson Silva toyed with Forrest Griffin all round long. He’s untouchable. Silva finished the fight with a right to Griffin’s chin. It’s Silva by 1st Round TKO! I predicted Silva to win via KO but I don’t expect it to be this quick.
UFC 101: Declaration was scheduled last August 8, 2009 (August 9, Sunday here in the Philippines) at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Silva was not able to show his X-men moves. I think it was not needed after all for a patsy like Griffin.

Well, to his credit, Griffin tried to unleash his vaunted leg kicks. Unfortunately, Silva anticipated them and was able to neutralize Griffin’s strongest weapon.

I think he has a broken jaw or something. His ego was also broken so hard after that very lopsided loss.

[...] Silva (25 wins, 4 losses) is one of the best strikers in the planet as proven by his 15 KOs out of his 25 wins. He has already defended his UFC middleweight crown six times and he might be already bored that he jumps to the light-heavyweight division from time to time and was actually successful against James Irvin at UFC Fight Night 14 and Forrest Griffin at UFC 101.
