In the main event of UFC 101: Declaration, UFC lightweight champion BJ “The Prodigy” Penn defended his crown very well against number one contender Kenny “KenFlo” Florian. Penn is still undefeated at the 155 lbs. limit and Florian failed to tarnish that record.
For four tiring rounds, Penn was so tactical defending well against Florian’s takedown attempts while landing some blows himself. The end for Florian came at the 4th Round when Penn mounted him and submitted him via a rear-naked choke. I predicted Florian to win via 3rd Round TKO. Yeah, I know… I suck.
UFC 101: Declaration was scheduled last August 8, 2009 (August 9, Sunday here in the Philippines) at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
Here’s the video of the BJ Penn vs Kenny Florian fight.

It’s avery good fight showing his critics that he has the work ethic to be worthy champion. Nobody can defeat BJ Penn at lightweight maybe of course Diego Sanchez.

Yes, I think Diego Sanchez is next in line for Penn’s title. UFC is already planning for that. It will be exciting!
