World of Warcraft, often referred to as WoW, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Blizzard Entertainment. It is currently the most popular and most subscribed MMORPG.

The game’s third expansion set, Cataclysm, was announced at BlizzCon 2009 on August 21. It follows the first expansion set, The Burning Crusade and the second expansion set, Wrath of the Lich King.

The expansion includes two new races: Goblins for the Horde faction and the wolf-like Worgen for the Alliance faction. There will also be flying mounts added to main game world of Azeroth, and the level cap will be raised to 85. There will also be new race/class combinations, entirely redesigned zones and guild levelling and achievements.

Want more? There will be a new secondary skill of Archaeology and a Path of the Titans character progression, heroic settings are added to the classic dungeons Deadmines and Shadow Fang Keep and the classic end-boss Deathwing returns.

Wow! I can’t wait to get hold of the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion set already.

No release date has been given yet so I think we just have to sit back, relax and wait. Luckily, Blizzard released this Wow Cataclysm trailer to keep us off the edge of our seats:
