And I thought these kind of things only happen here in our country the Philippines.

ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is a community-based organization that advocates for low- and moderate-income families by working on neighborhood safety, voter registration, health care, affordable housing, and other social issues. During the 2008 presidential campaign, the group supported Barack Obama but was accused of “massive voter fraud”. In return, Obama paid-off ACORN with $5.2 billion from its stimulus bill.

The hoopla behind that is not yet cleared and yet again, another controversy is rocking the organization: the Acorn Prostitute Scandal.

In an undercover investigation, employees of ACORN were secretly videotaped on hidden camera offering to assist two people who pretended to be a prostitute and her pimp. The male “pimp” is planning to employ 13 underage illegal immigrant girls from El Salvador in Central America as prostitutes, and wanted to obtain housing where they could continue to run their prostitution business. He was advised by an ACORN employee to list the prostitute’s occupation as a “performance artist” on her tax forms, and claim the children as dependents on their tax returns.

This is clearly a blatant support of sex trafficking and tax evasion! What’s more disturbing is that the ACORN people seem to have already done this many times before. So, this is how they launder money huh?

The videos were taken on July 24 by James O’Keefe, a 25-year-old filmmaker, who posed as a pimp with a 20-year-old woman named Kenya who posed as a prostitute while visiting ACORN’s Baltimore offices. It was released just yesterday by biggovernment.com.
