On September 16, 2009 at Cox Convention Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA, UFC Fight Night 19 or UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs Guillard was be staged.

In the co-main event, Gray “The Bully” Maynard faced Roger “El Matador” Huerta inside the Octagon for a non-title lightweight bout.

Huerta on the other hand became the first mixed martial artist to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated Magazine to showcase its first story on the rising popularity of mixed martial arts. He also stars in the fighting video game made into movie, Tekken.

He currently sports a mixed-martial arts record of 20 wins (10 by KO, 4 by submission), 2 losses and 1 draw.

Maynard wins via split decision over Huerta with scores of 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28.
