WBA featherweight champion Chris John (42-0-2, 22 KO) staked his world title against Rocky Juarez (28-4-1, 20 KO) in Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, USA last February 28, 2009.

However, that fight ended in a very controversial draw with all judges scoring it 114-114.

To settle the score, the two boxers met again in the ring as an undercard to “Number One / Numero Uno” which  top-billed Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez on September 19, 2009 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

After the dust has settled, Chris John has successfully defended his World Boxing Association title via Unanimous Decision 119-109, 117-111, and, 114-113.
