.....

Reigning WBC heavyweight champion Vitali “Dr. Iron Fist” Klitschko was too much for challenger Chris “Nightmare” Arreola to handle.

At the end of the tenth round, Arreola’s trainer, Henry Ramirez called a stop to their scheduled 12 round fight held on September 26, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, USA crediting a TKO to the Ukrainian.

For 10 grueling rounds, the previously unbeaten Arreola courageously tried to push forward and get inside Klitschko but the latter used his height and reach advantage and skills to keep the former at bay rendering his face a bloody mess.

Ringside punch statistics showed Klitschko landed 301 out of  802 punches while Arreola, just 86 of 331 punches.

Here is the full Klitschko vs Arreola video of the bout:

Klitschko improved his record to 38 wins and 2 losses. 37 of his wins were by KO which is the highest knockout percentage (92.5%) of any heavyweight champion in overall fights.

That’s how good the champion is.
