Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. son of the greatest Mexican boxer in history proved that he is a chip off the old block by dismantling his opponent Jason Lehoullier 2:43 into the first round of their junior middleweight fight at El Palenque de la Feria in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico on September 12.
At the opening bell, Chavez wasted no time letting his opponent feel his Latin Fury by targeting Lehoullier’s body and sending the latter to the canvas for the first time in his career.
Lehoullier beat the 10-count but Chavez was unrelentless on his assault pummeling the American on the ropes until referee Ruben Carrion mercifully stopped the fight at the 2:43 mark.

This is where the game of basketball began. And finally, Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest player in its history has been inducted yesterday into The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame located at Springfield, Massachusetts, USA.
In an emotion-filled induction speech, Michael Jordan said:
“Don’t be in a rush to find the next Michael Jordan, there’s not going to be another Michael Jordan.”
That’s class.

In a boxing event titled “Number One / Numero Uno”, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez will face each other in a 12-round welterweight fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
They will meet at a catchweight of 144 lbs. Mayweather is undefeated with 39 wins (25 by KO) while Marquez has a record of 50 wins (37 by KO), 4 losses and 1 draw.
This will mark Mayweather’s return to the ring after he announced on March 18 , 2009 that he is coming back after a 16-month temporary retirement. The fight was originally scheduled for July 18 but was postponed to September 19, 2009 due to a rib injury Mayweather received during training. It will be in conjunction with Mexican Independence Day, traditionally a big boxing weekend.

Chris John vs Rocky Juarez (for the WBA featherweight title)

In the main event for the debut of Spokane, Washington-based “Arena Rumble” organization, Jeremy Horn will battle it out with “The Ultimate Fighter” castoff Jason Guida at the Spokane Arena on September 12, 2009.
Guida, who is probably best known for his brief appearance on the eighth season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” is currently mired in a four-fight losing streak. The older brother of UFC lightweight Clay Guida, Jason’s most recent win came in a March 2007 submission victory over Cristiano Machado.
Horn was released by the UFC earlier this year following a three-fight losing streak in the organization. The 13-year veteran has since bounced back with a win over Chris Davis at June’s Adrenaline MMA III – the same event in which Tim Sylvia was knocked out by Ray Mercer.

On September 11, 2001, Al-Qaeda-affiliated hijackers deliberately crashed two Boeing-767 jets into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City.
As the twin towers were burning and subsequently collapsed, pictures taken of them apparently show some images of a face which was believed to be that of the devil. Some even claimed that the face was that of Osama Bin Laden, the Al-Qaeda founder who masterminded the 9/11 attacks.
