At UFC 106: Ortiz vs Griffin 2, welterweights Josh “Kos” Koscheck and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson will meet inside the Octagon as the co-main event fight in the loaded UFC 106 fight card headlined by Tito Ortiz vs Forrest Griffin.

UFC 106 will be staged just one week after UFC 105: Couture vs Vera at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on November 21, 2009.

Josh Koscheck made his debut with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) organization on the first season of the reality television show, The Ultimate Fighter. He has since amassed a record of 13 wins (4 by KO, 4 by submission) and 4 losses. He is often ranked among the top ten welterweights in the world by leading mixed martial arts publication. MMA Weekly currently ranks Koscheck at #5, Sherdog currently ranks Koscheck at #7.

Anthony Johnson sports an MMA record of 8 wins (6 by KO) and 2 losses. His fighting style ranges from kickboxing to sanshou and wrestling..

Koscheck is an elite wrestler as he was a former NCAA Division-I champion at Edinboro University. However, his striking ability has vastly improved over his past few fights. In Johnson, he will be facing a legitimate knockout artist. Johnson is also taller and will be coming  at fight night relatively heavier.

If Koscheck can bring the fight to the ground, he will have his best chance to win. Otherwise, he’s dead meat.

I predict a win by Johnson via 1st Round KO.
