The Twilight Saga by author Stephenie Meyer is a series of four novels that revolves around vampires and werewolves.
Two of the novels have already been adapted into the silver screen, Twilight (2008) and New Moon which is currently showing in cinemas around the world. Eclipse is set to be released on June 30, 2010 while no plans have been announced yet for the last one, Breaking Dawn.
For the uninitiated, they would dismiss it as another one of those horror novels/films. But it is not. The plot is actually a romantic-fantasy story revolving around a human torn between her love for a vampire and a werewolf.
It is this unorthodox romance that captured the interest of people, especially teenagers and young adults.
The movie also contains memorable quotes that really appealed to the fans.
Here are some of the New Moon movie quotes:
Bella Swan: (after Jasper nearly attacks her at her birthday party) What happened with Jasper was nothing.

Hey Ark, it’s good to know that you like the New Moon movie too. Me and my wife watched Twilight and lately New Moon. We have also read Meyer’s books. In fact I posted about it on my blog some months ago.
Right now, we’re taking turns reading Eclipse.
P.S. Hey, anyone noticed something about Bella’s invulnerability to other vampires’ powers? Edward can’t read her mind; all the powerful Volturis can’t get through her. YET, if you recall in Twilight, after the incident with James, Bella was being put to sleep by Jasper’s power. In fact she complained to Jasper that she doesn’t want to sleep. But Jasper puts her to sleep just the same, for her own good (so she wouldn’t have to worry about Edward). So, only Jasper can get through her. Is this a lapse in the author’s plot?

To answer your question, I resorted to the ever reliable Wikipedia.
In the book, Bella is described as being very clumsy and stubborn. She has a private mind, which is thought to be why Edward is unable to hear her thoughts. Bella’s private mind that rejected some vampires’ special abilities while she was human evolved after she became a vampire; her ability strengthened into allowing her to shield herself and those around her from the mental powers of some other vampires.
Why Jasper was able to put him to sleep? Jasper has the ability to manipulate the emotions of those around him. He uses this ability to calm Bella when she is stressed or afraid.
Meaning, Jasper is not actually reading her mind but manipulating her emotions.

Wikipedia! Why didn’t it ever hit me to take a look there? Haha…Ark, very clever. So, that’s how Jasper got to her.
Hmmmnn… what about that lady Volturi that causes pain? She isn’t reading her mind, but trying to cause pain. Yet she can’t get through her too. Well, probably because pain is also an interpretation of the mind. In contrast, emotions are of the heart.

You’re talking of Dakota Fanning who played Jane. She can’t get through Bella as well because she creates just an illusion of pain. Not the real pain itself.

I adore Twilight! I can’t wait for Twilight Eclipse! I’m so in love with taylor, lol.
I still believe that the first film was better, but New Moon definitely wins in eye candy lol
