Kevin Ferguson AKA Kimbo Slice  is easily one of the most famous MMA fighters today becoming a YouTube sensation when his unsanctioned street fights against several brawlers were videod and plastered all over YouTube.

He won his first 3 matches as a professional MMA fighter but lost his last fight via knockout in only 14 seconds to Seth Petruzelli. Since then, his career has spiraled down. It did not help either that EliteXC, the organization he fights for has gone bankrupt allegedly because of that controversial loss.

By joining the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter, Kimbo is looking for redemption and respect. He may have lost to Roy Nelson in their Episode 3 matchup but he proved that he is still a top draw as due to his presence on the show, a record 4.1 million viewers tuned in to Spike TV for the season premier last September 16, 2009. His fight with Nelson was watched by 5.3 million viewers (3.7 household rating).

At the Ultimate Fighter Season 10 finale, Kimbo Slice will also have his first-ever UFC fight. This time against Houston “The Assassin” Alexander at a catchweight of 215 pounds.

PREDICTION:

Houston Alexander (9 -4-1) stormed into the Octagon with sensational knockout wins over Keith Jardine and Alessio Sakara. He immediately fell down to earth with a controversial loss to James Irvin and has since racked up 3 consecutive losses. He has a sideline stint with Adrenaline MMA 4 beating Sherman Pendergarst. He is now on a comeback trail in the UFC.

Kimbo Slice (4-1)  is trying to prove that he belongs in the world of mixed-martial arts. That he is not just a brawler fighting street thugs. After winning his first 3 matches, he lost to Seth Petruzelli.

Alexander and Slice are both stand-up fighters with no or little ground game. I think we will see a slugfest. One punch is all it needs to turn the tide in one’s favor. I predict a KO win for Kimbo Slice.
