Our son Arkin Wade was supposed to arrive on November 4 but he surprised us when he came unexpectedly via cesarean section at 11:33 PM of October 24. He was 10 days early but nevertheless, we were so happy to see him.
My wife Wendy bore him in her womb for 9 months and to finally carry him in our arms is such a thrilling experience for us. We longed for this moment to come and at last, it’s here. Arkin Wade’s arrival is enough for us to forget the pain we felt when Wendy had a miscarriage for our first baby last year. We did not lose hope and God erased our pain by giving us this little bundle of joy.
To officially welcome him to the Christian community and offer him in God’s grace, we had him christened last December 20, 2009. The day before, his Lolo and Titos and Titas from Kabacan arrived to help in the preparation.

This is the invitation and list of godparents (Ninongs and Ninangs) made by Wendy…
We arrived at 8:45 AM at the Our Lady of Rosary Heights Parish Church here in Cotabato City. The baptismal ritual started at exactly 9:00 AM. By 9:30 AM, the rites were done. It was done quick as the priest still has to preside over the next scheduled mass.

Unfortunately, only Ninang Ruby, Ninang Lorraine and Ninong Ali managed to make it on time for the rites.

The reception followed suit at El Comedor Restaurant. I and Wendy along with Titas Bona and Dianne arranged everything the previous night. Balloons were made by Victo Enterprises and the tarpaulins by Advent both based at Cotabato City.

After the sumptuous meal, we sliced the cake and opened Arkin’s gifts…

The largest wrapped gift was courtesy of Ninang Doc Ruby, a feeding bottle organizer…

The smallest wrapped gift was courtesy of Tita Bona, a towel with Arkin’s stitched name and a feeding bottle brush…

As a token of gratitude for those who attended, we have these giveaways which Wendy herself diligently made…
I and Wendy along with Arkin Wade express our big thanks all of those who attended his christening day. Your presence and time shared are very much appreciated. Some failed to come but sent their greetings as well as their gifts; we want to thank you too.
