It was Arkin Wade’s Christening Day last December 20, 2209…
He was inducted into the Christian community at the Our Lady of Rosary Heights Parish Church, Cotabato City. The reception followed suit at El Comedor Restaurant.
For the celebration, we have ordered a custom-made two-layered christening cake covered with fondant from a local cake-maker, Ms. Evelyn Dayaguit. My wife Wendy thought of the design.

We bought the cake topper at Victoria Plaza Mall, Davao City…

The cake’s upper layer with the words “Happy Christening”…

The cake’s lower layer with our son’s name on it…

If you think the cake was purely for aesthetic purposes, it was not. After lunch was served, we sliced it and handed out to the guests.
However, this cake below surely was present just to add artistry to the reception’s setup. It’s a diaper cake made with diapers (of course!)

This cake is so CUTE!
Never saw this before. Usually we don’t have something like this in Germany (a special cake for this celebration). We just go out with the relative and have lunch or dinner with them.
