In the main event of WEC 45: Cerrone vs. Ratcliff, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone will face Ed “9mm” Ratcliff in a non-title lightweight match which will decide who gets the crack for the World Extreme Cagefighting organization’s lightweight belt.
James Cameron, the Academy Award-winning Best Director for the critically acclaimed and box-office hit movie Titanic returns to the silver screen after a 12-year hiatus to write and direct the film Avatar.
Avatar is 3-D science fiction epic film. It will be composed almost entirely of computer-generated animation, using a more advanced version of the “performance capture” technique used by director Robert Zemeckis in The Polar Express. The film is being touted as a breakthrough in terms of filmmaking technology, for its development of 3D viewing and stereoscopic filmmaking with cameras that were specially designed for the film’s production.
The film stars Sam Worthington (Jake Sully), Sigourney Weaver (Dr. Grace Augustine), Michelle Rodriguez (Trudy Chacon) and Zoe Saldaña (Neytiri).
The budget to make the film is reported to be a stunning and record-breaking $300 million!
WWE’s TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, the pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment took place this December 13, 2009 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
The concept of the show featured match stipulations utilizing tables, ladders and chairs as legal weapons. The event’s concept was voted by fans via WWE’s official website. There are seven wrestling matches in the event.
