This January 31, 2010 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, the Royal Rumble match of World Wrestling Entertainment will be played out.

A total of 30 wrestlers from WWE’s Raw, SmackDown, and ECW brands will battle it out in a free-for-all last-man-standing match. A winner is declared when one wrestler remains in the ring, after all 29 other wrestlers have been eliminated via being tossed over the top ring rope and having both feet touch the floor.

The winner will earn a world championship match of their choosing at WrestleMania XXVI.

In the previous episode of 24, Renee Walker is introduced for the first time since Season 7. While she is not an FBI agent anymore, she is welcomed back to CTU because of her knowledge of the Russian Syndicate in New York after having worked with them as an undercover six years before.

Despite Jack Bauer not agreeing to this plan, he volunteered to be her partner in this operation.

In the January 23, 2010 edition of HBO Boxing After Dark, Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez moves up in weight to challenge Steven Luevano’s WBO Featherweight Championship belt.

This 12-round bout will be held at the Wamu Theater, Madison Square Garden, New York, USA.

Luevano is a Mexican-American boxer with a record of 37 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw. Of his 37 wins, only 15 are by KO which indicates that he is more of a boxer than a puncher. This will be Luevano’s sixth title defense of his crown he won from Nicky Cook on July 14, 2007.

In Luevano’s last fight, he won a very ugly bout against Filipino Bernabe Conception when the latter was disqualified when he landed late blows after the bell at the end of the seventh round.

This January 23, 2010 in HBO’s presentation of Boxing After Dark, Yuriorkis Gamboa of Cuba will put his WBA Featherweight Championship belt on the line against challenger Roger “The Tiger” Mtagwa of Tanzania.

This 12-round bout will be held at the Wamu Theater, Madison Square Garden, New York, USA.

Gamboa is undefeated in 16 bouts and 14 of those were via knockout. As an amateur boxer, he won an Olympic gold medal in the flyweight division at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He won the WBA Featherweight crown against Jose Rojas on April 17, 2009 via 10th Round TKO.

His bout with Mtagwa will be his second defense of the title.
