Some people are just so damn insensitive with the plight of others that they don’t care whether their comments are already hurting the feelings of others.

Such is the case with Pat Robertson who even though he happens to be the host of Christian TV program The 700 Club, his being outspoken on his religious and political views sometimes borders on the nasty and disgusting and stupid.

When a magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti last January 12, 2010 with a death toll of more than 100,000, Robertson blamed Haiti’s 1791 slave rebellion and a “pact with the devil” for the disaster that befell the country.

Movies that are concerned with the end or impending end of civilization either through nuclear war, plague, or some other general disaster are often sure-fire box-office hits.

Looking to duplicate the success of movies like Terminator, 2012, Independence Day, War of the Worlds and  I Am Legend, The Book of Eli opens in theaters today, January 15, 2010.

The Book of Eli is a post-apocalyptic film directed by the Hughes brothers, written by Gary Whitta, and starring Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman and Mila Kunis.

With an $80 million budget, The Book of Eli promises to be one of Denzel’s top-grossing films of all time.

After watching the first real Tekken movie trailer, I must say that it has caught my attention and I will be compelled to watch it once it is released in the big screen this year. Movie trailers are created to catch attention so the best scenes are usually present. Even poor movies can become appealing if the trailer is well done.

In the main event of UFC Fight Night 20 last January 11, 2010 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, USA, Gray “The Bully” Maynard collided with Nate Diaz.

Diaz guillotine choked Melvin Guillard and Maynard bullied Roger Huerta both at at UFC Fight Night 19 to set-up this bout. This was also be a rematch (of sorts) when the two met in the semi-finals of the The Ultimate Fighter 5 where Diaz won.

In a battle of two undefeated fighters in the lightweight division of The Ultimate Fighting Championship organization, Efrain Escudero and Evan Dunham met in the center of the Octagon in undercard of UFC Fight Night 20.

It was held last last January 11, 2010 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, USA with the main event between Gray “The Bully” Maynard and Nate Diaz.

Kentucky Fried Chicken’s new commercial for its Australian audience is controversial as it allegedly depicts tones of racism.

The fastfood chain’s new video shows a group of black people in a festive mood. One white guy is sitting in the midst of the raucous crowd. Then he says,

“Need a chicken when you are stuck in an awkward situation?”

Ouch!
