At the 52nd Grammy Awards, Beyonce Knowles (formerly of Destiny’s Child) won a total of six awards breaking the record for most wins by a female artist in one night.

The annual awards ceremony presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States took place on January 31, 2010, at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Neil Young was honored as the 2010 MusiCares Person of the Year on January 29, two days prior to the Grammy telecast.

Other winners include Taylor Swift who won four; Black Eyed Peas, Jay-Z and Kings of Leon who won three; and Colbie Caillat, Eminem, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Maxwell, Jason Mraz, A. R. Rahman and Rihanna who won two.
