SWV (an acronym for Sisters With Voices) is an American female R&B/pop trio from New York. The group is composed of Cheryl Gamble, Tamara Johnson and Leanne Lyons (the group’s founder).

In the early 90′s, SWV had a series of hits and were even nominated for the Best New Artist category of the Grammy Awards in 1994. They disbanded in 1999 to pursue solo projects.

When you talk of their songs, one thing that immediately comes to mind is their famous one, “Weak”. Since SWV is planning a comeback and will release a fifth studio album this year, it’s about right to make a trip back to memory lane with the song’s video and lyrics.
