Every time Manny Pacquiao fights, there’s a silent race that rages among Pinoy bloggers who want to cash-in on their local hero’s fame.
During the Pacman’s fight day, the Internet is literally on fire with people searching for anything related to the pound for pound king. It’s no secret that for bloggers, that’s a good chance to make some cash.
Why?
With proper SEO (search engine optimization), you can make a post relevant to Pacquiao and his bout and make it rank high on the SERPs (search engine results page). That can result to tons of traffic for your web site which usually converts into cash.
Last March 14, 2010 during Pacquiao’s bout with Joshua Clottey, this web site had a traffic spike as I expected. You see, I also made posts about “The Event” and applied SEO.
On that day, 33,021 unique visitors came here. Even though that is only the third-highest visitor turnout I got in one day (43,026 is the highest), that traffic generated me my highest revenue ever.
From my advertising networks, Google Adsense is the highest earner as I made $179.57 narrowly breaking my record of $172.19 last August 9, 2009. Even if it’s already March 14 here in the Philippines, it was still March 13 in the US where Google is based so the screen shot below reflects the date as March 13.

From Chitika, I also made a record $82.56 breaking my previous high of $25.93 last September 20, 2010 by a mile while Infolinks gave me $5.31 and Clicksor, $4.19.
So, on the day Pacquiao unleashed his “pompyang punch” on Clottey, I made an aggregate earning of $271.63! That’s $59.47 more than my previous record high of $212.16 last August 9, 2009.
You might ask: what keywords did you use to attract traffic to this site?
Well, what’s funny is that people are always trying to find ways to watch pay-per-view events on the Internet. Hence, blog posts that make use of keywords like, “watch Manny Pacquiao vs Joshua Clottey live streaming online free” coupled with proper SEO can bring you a traffic spike.
On the day of the fight, I tried to embed live streams (copied from Justin TV, LiveStream, UStream, etc.) on this site but none of them worked for so long as after a few minutes, they were taken away by the copyright police. The live streams are illegal that’s why, hehe..
This post I made about the Pacquiao vs Clottey video brought me significant amount of traffic as well and still is.
Next target:
If the Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather, Jr. fight pushes through, it might be the richest fight in boxing history. It might also bring me a new record high in terms of earnings due to the sheer volume of people who might be searching all over the world wide web for that fight.
For the meantime, I think I have to settle for the Floyd Mayweather vs Shane Mosley fight.

Your earnings went up, mine went down.
250 in Adsense from last years 350 in single day
I really expected a bit more, but maybe my effort was also a bit well, low. Like, I optimized on the 9th of March pa. Lol.

Not all of them are clicking on the ads naman eh, more of them are after the content
Add to it that a lot of them refreshed and refreshed and refreshed to wait for the updated channels (which hurts the CTR).

$250 is still not bad though.

siguro sa ad placement mo, sana on that day pinalitan mo ng image ads na magmukhang video he he he, ganyan ginagawa namin. Ang napupuna ko tumataas ang CTR ko during Pacquiao fights, umaabot ng 8%, nakakatakot nga tingnan kasi abnormal, ang normal kong CTR is 1% to 2%.

hmmmmm… with 62k traffic, that definitely is a very very poor pay day. if you’re really dead serious about earning cash online (to the point of making your day job obsolete) and would be willing to invest on learning how to convert that traffic into cold cash, you should check this out:
http://www.paologutierrez.com/TrafficUltimatum/tabid/118/Default.aspx
if you want to start with something small and test the waters first (although everything in here is just a small chapter of the first one), here’s another:
http://www.paologutierrez.com/BTTB/tabid/119/Default.aspx
Sana pag dating ng Pacquiao-Mayweather fight, you’ll get $20,000+ easily using the techniques from the sources above.

think of it as an investment guys. i’ve bought it myself and found it worth every peso. kung maimplement mo properly yung concepts, mababawi mo naman agad yun — at least i did.
basically, you get started with a clickbank.com account. pero mahirap magsimula if you have to learn the ropes by yourself or rely on free resources (free means everyone else is already doing it). why not learn from the best and save yourself time?
i’ve just started “clickbanking” this january and here’s a snapshot of one of my clickbank accounts after implementing the first few steps nung system (system is about 300 pages worth of e-books plus twenty 30-60 min videos so it takes a while to implement everything):
http://paologutierrez.com/Portals/0/cbsnapshot.png
(i censored my account name or else you can retrace my steps and find out/deduce the market i’m targeting — at maging magkaribal pa tayo haha :-p)
hindi ba sulit yung $197 (at the time i bought it) if it helps you get more or less $1k a week online kahit hindi pa fully-implemented lahat ng concepts nung system?
http://www.paologutierrez.com/TrafficUltimatum/tabid/118/Default.aspx
i really posted this dahil nanghinayang lang talaga ako when i read about the 62k traffic that only converted to $100+ so i hope you guys make more when the next Manny fight happens… langya mukhang magpupulitiko na sha e haha!
ps – kung libre ito and/or kinalat mo after buying it, everyone will be doing it. You’ll have TONS of competition on your hands — making it harder for you, the person you gave a free copy to, and everyone else who bought the system.
