At Strikeforce: Nashville, he will defend his belt against Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal.

Mousasi (28 wins, 2 losses) is a Judo and Kickboxing practitioner currently ranked by Sherdog.com and MMAweekly.com  as the #6 light-heavyweight in the world. He is also a former Dream Middleweight Champion and Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion. He won his Strikeforce light-heavyweight championship against Renato Sobral at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg.

Lawal (undefeated with 6 wins) is a decorated wrestler since his college days. In the world of MMA, he has been successful at Sengoku Japan going 4-0. In his second bout at Strikeforce, he challenges Mousasi for the light-heavyweight crown.
