After a brief stopover at Miami, Strikeforce is coming to the “Music City”.
This April 17, 2010, Strikeforce: Nashville was held at the Bridgestone Arena (formerly known as Sommet Center) in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
The event marked the Strikeforce debut of former UFC and Pride middleweight champion, Dan “Hendo” Henderson after he signed a four-fight, 16-month deal with Strikeforce on December 5, 2009 when his contract with UFC expired.
In the main card, Henderson had his first assignment when he faced Jake Shields but failed to capture his Strikeforce middleweight championship title.
Two other championship bouts was featured in the main cards as well which was televised LIVE at CBS.

* Middleweight Championship bout: Jake Shields (c) vs. Dan Henderson – Shields defeated Henderson via unanimous decision (49-46, 49-45, 48-45) to retain the Strikeforce Middleweight championship
* Light Heavyweight Championship bout: Gegard Mousasi (c) vs. Muhammed Lawal – Lawal defeated Mousasi via unanimous decision (49-45, 49-45, 49-45) to become the new Strikeforce Light heavyweight champion
* Lightweight Championship bout: Gilbert Melendez (c) vs. Shinya Aoki – Melendez defeated Aoki via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) to retain the Strikeforce Lightweight championship

* Middleweight bout: Jason Miller vs. Tim Stout – Miller defeated Stout via TKO (punches) at 3:09 of round 1
* Light Heavyweight bout: Chris Hawk vs. Ovince St. Preux – St. Preux defeated Hawk via TKO (punches) at 0:44 of round 1
* Welterweight bout: Dustin West vs. Andrew Uhrich – Uhrich defeated West via submission (rear naked choke) at 1:36 of round 1
* Light Heavyweight bout: Josh Schockman vs. Cale Yarbrough – Yarbrough defeated Schockman via TKO (knee and punches) in round 2
* Middleweight bout: Zach Underwood vs. Hunter Worsham – Underwood defeated Worsham via unanimous decision
* Flyweight bout: Dustin Ortiz vs. Justin Pennington – Ortiz defeated Pennington via submission (rear naked choke) at 4:27 of round 1
* Featherweight bout: Cody Floyd vs. Thomas Campbell - Floyd defeated Campbell via KO (knee) in round 3
