Jose Aldo vs Urijah Faber Video

In the main event of WEC 48, Jose Aldo will defend his WEC Featherweight title for the first time against former champ Urijah “California Kid” Faber.

Aldo (16 wins, 1 loss) is currently ranked the #1 featherweight in the world by Sherdog. Although he has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, he is making his name as a striker with all six of his WEC fights ending victoriously by knockout or technical knockout.

He is currently on a nine fight winning streak. He won his last fight at WEC 44 against Mike Brown via TKO when the referee stopped the fight at 1:20 in the second round.

Faber (23 wins, 3 losses) is the former WEC featherweight champion and held the title for over two years until his loss to Mike Brown at WEC 36 on November 5, 2008. Prior to his loss to Mike Brown, Faber was ranked the #1 featherweight fighter in the world by both Sherdog and MMA Weekly. Currently Faber is ranked the #3 featherweight in the world by Sherdog.

He won his last fight at WEC 46 against Raphael Assuncao via submission in Round 3.
