Freddy Krueger is back.

Writer Wes Craven’s creation first appeared in the 1984 horror movie, A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Twenty-six years later, a remake will bring back one of the most famous movie villains of all time.

Freddy Krueger is a disfigured dream stalker who uses a glove armed with razors to kill his victims in their dreams, which ultimately results in their death in the real world is back. He is commonly identified by his burned, disfigured face, red and dark green striped sweater, brown fedora, and trademark metal-clawed brown leather glove.

He was originally portrayed by Robert Englund. In the remake, Jackie Earle Haley will play the role.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) is directed by Samuel Bayer, and produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller.

PREMISE:

A group of suburban teenagers are being haunted in their dreams by a horribly disfigured killer known as Freddy Krueger.
