Game 3

Deron Williams’ last second shot attempt to win the game missed its mark as well as Wesley Matthews’ tip just before the buzzer to allow the Lakers escape with a 111-110 victory over the Jazz and give them a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Kobe Bryant scored 35 points while Derek Fisher added 20 points to lead the Lakers as they hit back-to-back 3-pointers during an 8-2 run in the final minute to hold on for the win.

Deron Williams had 28 points and nine assists and Kyle Korver added a career playoff-high 23 points for the Jazz, making all five of his 3-point attempts.

No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a series.

Game 4

Pau Gasol had a monster double-double of 33 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Lakers to a 4-0 sweep of the Jazz winning 111-96. Kobe had 32 points, scoring 30+ points in all four games.

Deron Williams led the Jazz with 21 points and nine assists which was swept for the first time in 21 years; when the Golden State Warriors knocked them out 3-0 in the first round of the 1989 playoffs.

The Lakers will face the Suns who won their own series with the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals round.
