Tim Sylvia vs Mariusz Pudzianowski video

After winning a world record five World’s Strongest Man titles as well as two runner-up titles, Polish Mariusz Pudzianowski has decided to put his strength to the test in the world of mixed-martial arts.

After winning his first two MMA events at his native country Poland in the KSW promotion, Pudzianowski is set to make his MMA debut in the USA.

He will face top competition in former UFC Heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia on May 21 in the main event for Moosin: God of Martial Arts LIVE on pay-per-view at the DCU Center, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.

After winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship against Andrei Arlovski at UFC 61, Sylvia (25 wins, 6 losses) defended it successfully twice before losing it to Randy Couture at UFC 68. Since then, his career has spiraled down losing four times while winning only twice.

Pudzianowski’s (2-0) MMA debut with boxer Marcin Najman at KSW XII was heavily hyped with it being dubbed as “MMA Fight of the Year” in Poland.  He did not disappoint as the referee stopped the fight 43 seconds into the 1st round after he hammered down punches on the fallen Najman.

His second fight just this May 7, 2010 was not as exciting as he only won via unanimous decision after two rounds of sloppy brawl against Japanese Yusuke Kawaguchi.

Afterwards, Sylvia exclaimed “I’m back!”
