2010 NBA Playoffs Conference Finals Round | Ron Artest Hits Buzzer Beater

Category: Basketball

With the score tied at 101, Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant had  the chance to give his team the win just like he has been doing all season long.

With the ball in his hands and 3.5 seconds remaining in the shot clock, Kobe took the pass and heaved a prayer.

Hounded by Grant Hill and Steve Nash, he missed..

… by a mile.

With an ugly air ball like that, Kobe will surely become a laughingstock had the Suns won the game.

Luckily for him, Ron Artest was there to redeem him.

I mean, redeem himself.

With only two points on 1 of 8 shooting (0 of 3 from the three-point line) to show in his stat sheet, Artest caught the miss and throw up a shot while on tiptoes.

Somehow, it went in to give the Western Conference Finals series lead to Los Angeles 3-2.

With that shot, Artest has entered the Lakers playoff lore just like what Robert Horry did in Game 4 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals against the Sacramento Kings or Derek Fisher’s near-impossible 0.4 second shot in Game 5 of the 2004 Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs.
