On my 500th blog post, I have related that since this web site’s birth last February 12, 2009 to March 30, 2010, this has already been visited by 719,940 unique visitors .

Now two months and 171 more blog posts later, I’m proud to say that another significant milestone has been reached.

This web site has already received its 1 millionth unique visitor this evening.

Here’s a breakdown of those visits:

Of the total traffic, 15.54% came from Referring Sites. Check out how to get traffic from Twitter and Yahoo! Answers.

Meanwhile, 7.35% visited this web site directly from entering my URL at the address bar.

You will notice that majority (76.49%) of the traffic were coming from the search engines (Google, Yahoo!, Bing).

This is the best kind of traffic.

They are referred to as organic visitors and webmasters always aim to attract organic visitors to their site as usually, they are the ones who will click on your ads. Of course, clicks mean cash.

To do that, you should optimize your blog posts so that it comes at the top of the SERPs (search engine results page).
