The A-Team is the movie that occupied mixed-martial arts fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson so much that he has to pull out of his scheduled fight with Rashad Evans at UFC 107. The two opposing coaches for the reality series The Ultimate Fighter Season 10 finally met at UFC 114 last May 29, 2010.

After losing via Unanimous Decision, Rampage is now blaming himself for even acting in the movie because he attributed his loss to ring rust as his time was occupied more by filming than training.

In The A-Team, Rampage plays the lead role as Sgt. B.A. “Bad Attitude” Baracus which was previously played by Mr. T. The movie is actually the film adaptation of the 80′s TV series of the same name which ran for five seasons on the NBC television network.

The movie’s plot will involve a shift from Vietnam to the Middle East, and both Jules Daly and Stephen J. Cannell, the creators of the original series, are involved in the project.

It also stars Liam Neeson as Col. John “Hannibal” Smith; the team leader, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck, and Sharlto Copley as Capt. H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock.

The A-Team is directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by the brothers Ridley and Tony Scott with abudget of $100 million.

Like the original series, the story follows the adventures of four U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers-turned-mercenaries, three of whom were arrested for a crime they did not commit and are now branded war criminals. After managing to escape from military prison, the three join forces with Captain H.M. Murdock, their reconnaissance pilot, as soldiers of fortune.
