One of the semifinal matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup features a rematch of the 2008 European Championships final.
On July 7, 2010 at 2:30 PM EST, Germany and Spain will meet at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban, South Africa for a chance to win a ticket to the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final on July 11, 2010.
Germany will try to avenge their loss at the hands of Spain in the 2008 UEFA European Championship final.
Germany is making their third straight trip to the semis, and 12th overall (including their record as West Germany), although they haven’t won a title since 1990.
For Spain, it is their first trip to the semifinals of the World Cup.

Who’s your bet?
The first ticket to the Finals was already won by Netherlands yesterday when it defeated Uruguay, 3-2 at the Cape Town Stadium, Cape Town, South Africa.
Should Spain defeat Germany, the 2010 FIFA World Cup final match will be between two teams that have never won the World Cup before (for the first time since 1978).
If Germany wins this Semifinals, the team will have made the Finals for the eight time where they have already won a total of three World Cups.
=======================================================
UPDATE: With Carles Puyol getting the lone goal for the entire match, Spain defeated Germany to advance to the Finals.
