After losing their respective semifinal matches; Germany to Spain and Uruguay to Netherlands, the two teams will try to at least salvage some national pride by battling it out for Third Place in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
They will meet at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Port Elizabeth, South Africa on July 10, 2010 at 2:30 PM EST.
If Germany wins, this will be their fourth 3rd-place finish with their most recent coming in the 2006 edition.
For Uruguay, it is their first time to battle for third. This is also their highest attained round after placing fourth in the 1970 FIFA World Cup.
Get your vuvuzelas ready!
Paul the Octopus had picked Germany to win.
How about you?
