“This fall I am taking my talents to South Beach and play with the Miami Heat. The major factor was the best opportunity for me to win, to win now and for the future also. Winning is the most important thing for me. I feel like this is going to be the best opportunity.”
With these words uttered at ESPN’s “The Decision” last July 8 at 9:00 PM, Lebron bolted out of Cleveland to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami Heat starting next season.
Classmates in the 2003 NBA Draft, they now form one of the most talented trios the NBA has ever seen.

Truly impressive!
But will this translate to an NBA championship?
The three of them were members of the Bronze medal winning team at the 2006 FIBA World Championship and Gold medal winning team at the 2008 Summer Olympics so this will not actually be the first time that will be playing with each other.
However, considering that they were franchise players in their respective teams, will they defer to each other?
Can they set aside their respective egos to work as one cohesive unit?
Will they sacrifice individual achievements so that together, they get to the top of the NBA?
Only time will tell.

Good for Lebron, now maybe he has a better shot at an NBA title that he was never going to get playing for Cleveland (so Cle. fan can stop hatin’), it’s obvious that’s what he’s interested in & not the money. D-Wade has a chance to win another NBA title like he did when Shaq came to Miami. Sometimes wanting to win a championship is more important than loyalty to a team. It didn’t happen for Reggie Miller, it didn’t happen for Stockton & Malone & as much as I would love to see Phx win a title & they’ve come close a few times, it’s never going to happen. Why should James let all that talent go to waste playing for years on 1 team if they have to depend on just him to deliver an NBA title? Because of loyalty? It didn’t work for KG until after he left Minnesota. I hope this will bring LeBron what it is he really wants, an NBA title and I hope the Boys & Girls Club of America made out big for that 1hr. tv spot.

Lakers will piss on Miami straight up, they cannot even beat bulls and celtics often, Now Kobe gets to Kill 3 Birds with 1 rock and place Lebron, Wade, & Bosh’s Scalps on his belt

i think this trio would coexist. they’re not the usual superstars who demand the ball to be in their hands all the time. lebron and dwyane are good passers and are good players off the ball. i think bosh would flourish more considering that he won’t be double teamed as much as before.

Lebron James once called the Savior of Cleavland has now become the Benedict Arnold of Cleavland sports. Cleavland put all of their hopes and dreams on Lebron, who simply wants to win now. Looking at the Cleavland Caviler’s roster, Lebron didn’t have much many options if he wanted to get back to the finals. The Boston Celtics dropped the Cavilers in five games. Orlando beat the Cavilers last year to go to the finals against the Lakers. Given that there was no improvement in the teams roster, he really stood no chance of getting better any time soon. So in a word, I give Lebron a break on his choice to leave Cleavland for South Beach.

Yes it is.
Everyone will be watching if this power trio will work. Anything less than a championship title for them will be a disappointment.

Very true. I’ve also read into yahoo sports earlier today. Carmelo was getting married and LeBron was their in Manhattan I think. He was booed out right their. New York fans were expecting LeBron on their team but instead got into Miami.
The interesting part was Chris Paul said on his speech maybe the next year to come, Melo and I might join Amar’e in NEW YORK. Will form our own big three. Interesting.. Right?

Yes I read that too.
I think Paul had erred in voicing out his plans. The nerve. I wonder what will the Hornets management think of him now that they know that their superstar player wants to bolt out of New Orleans for New York next year.
On the other hand, the CP3-Amare-Melo trio is I think at par with the Lebron-Wade-Bosh one. Will this be a start of a new trend? Could be.

Yes! I think New Orleans would question CP3′s loyalty. Everybody now just wants to be like Boston Celtics’ Big three. Not all plan will come out well, like those days when Rockets had Hakeem, Charles and Scottie. But on those days they were not on their prime already. Not like Miami’s big three. While as the Celtics, its a big team effort. I just hope, what ever they are planning up to. It would end up well. Its nice to see a thrilling match-up in the Ball Game.
