After posting the first legitimate cheat code for StarCraft 2 which happens to be the one needed to activate God Mode, some readers left comments telling me the new ones they have discovered.

Here’s a compilation of those StarCraft 2 cheats for PC.

Again, be warned that achievements are turned off as soon as you use a cheat code. The cheats only work in Single Player campaigns.

ACTION: During the game, press ENTER to bring up the console. Type “whysoserious”. Press ENTER to activate cheat code.

EFFECT: Adds 5000 credits to the Hyperion Battlecruiser.

REFERENCE: A phrase used by Dark Knight’s Joker played by Heath Ledger when he asks his victims why they are always so serious and not smiling.

ACTION: During the game, press ENTER to bring up the console. Type “moredotsmoredots”. Press ENTER to activate cheat code.

EFFECT: You can build units for FREE.

REFERENCE: Hearing Dives and his immortal cry, “Throw more DoTs more DoTs more DoTs!” in an attempt to defeat the dragon Onyxia from World of Warcraft. DoT means Damage over Time.

ACTION: During the game, press ENTER to bring up the console. Type “realmendrilldeep”. Press ENTER to activate cheat code.

EFFECT: Gives you instant 5,000 vespene gas.

REFERENCE: Title of the game winning fan fiction story for The Epic Tome contest for a SC2 Beta key. “Real Men Drill Deep” is written by user CrowToss which tells of one man’s recollections on the current state of things (in the StarCraft universe).

EFFECT: Disables victory conditions.

REFERENCE: The concluding response to prayer in the Colonial faith, “so say we all”. It’s from Battlestar Galactica.

ACTION: During the game, press ENTER to bring up the console. Type “eyeofsauron”. Press ENTER to activate cheat code.

EFFECT: When you’re out of a mission (like on the hyperion), activate this and a menu will pop up where you can choose to watch cutscenes.

REFERENCE: Eye of Sauron in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

ACTION: During the game, press ENTER to bring up the console. Type “iamironman”. Press ENTER to activate cheat code.

EFFECT: Increments weapon, armor and shield upgrades by 1.

REFERENCE: Obviously, it’s Iron Man.

EFFECT: Disables ability cooldown.

REFERENCE: A phrase used by Star Wars fans to refer to a controversial change made to a scene in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (wikipedia).

EFFECT: Plays the Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain (Blizzard employee band) song “Terran up the Night”.

REFERENCE: This cheat is a phrase coming from the lyrics of the song itself.

REFERENCE: I don’t know what “base stars primitive” and “reversing nazaire” means either.

EFFECT: Your Medics will be able to heal faster.

REFERENCE: This cheat sounds Spanish to me.

EFFECT: Disables food and psi requirement.

REFERENCE: “Mint Man is operator”? These cheats are becoming difficult to attach references to.

EFFECT: Receives 5,000 minerals and vespene gas instantly.

All of these cheats work for Wings of Liberty. If they also work for the succeeding expansions: Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void remains to be seen.
