NBA 2010-2011 Schedule: Marquee Games

Category: Basketball

.....

After Shaq’s signing with the Boston Celtics, we can now say that “The Summer of Lebron” had ended.

As former teammates playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers last NBA season, Shaq and Lebron’s tandem never worked bringing along their “win a ring for the King” battle cry into the garbage bin.

For the upcoming 2010/2011 NBA season, the two superstars are now suiting up for new teams. Shaq with the aforementioned Celtics and Lebron with the Miami Heat.

The Big Shamrock joins a trio of aging superstars in Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen while The King forms his own power trio of young superstars with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

It’s no wonder then that the next NBA season tips-off with the top two contenders for the Eastern Conference crown, the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics.

They will jump start the 2010/2011 NBA season on October 26, 2010 at the TD Garden in Boston.

The 2010 NBA champions LA Lakers too will open the season on the same day with a championship ring and banner ceremony and a game against the Houston Rockets which marks the return of center Yao Ming who was out for the whole duration of last season.

Both games are featured as a doubleheader on TNT.

Other marquee games scheduled for the 2010/2011 NBA season are posted below:
