After being suspended for 90 days due to failure to let go of the submission in his fight with Tomasz Drwal at UFC 111, Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares is making a comeback at the UFC.

In the main event of Ultimate Fight Night 22, he faces Nate “The Great” Marquardt who is coming off a loss to Chael Sonnen at UFC 109.

UFN 22:  Marquardt vs Palhares will be held on September 15, 2010 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, USA right before the season premiere of TUF 12.

American Nate Marquardt (29 wins-9 losses, 7 KOs / 15 submissions) is a three-time Middleweight King of Pancrase Champion. He competed for the UFC middleweight championship held by Anderson Silva on July 7, 2007 at UFC 73 but lost via TKO.

Brazilian Rousimar Palhares (13 wins-2 losses, 1 KO / 8 submissions) is considered to be one of the best in the world at leg locks, such as the heel hook and kneebar. At UFC 111, Palhares defeated Tomasz Drwal by heel hook 45 seconds into the first round. He was, however, subsequently suspended for 90 days for continuing to crank the submission even after Drwal had tapped and referee Kevin Mulhall stepped in to stop the fight.
