On September 11, 2010, two Mexicans will clash in the undercard of the Mosley vs Mora “200: Celebrate and Dominate” boxing event.
Daniel Ponce de León and Antonio Escalante will fight in a WBO World Featherweight Title eliminator.
Mexican Daniel “El Leon” Ponce De León (39 wins – 2 losses, 32 KOs) is the current WBC Latino Featherweight champion and a former WBO World Super Bantamweight champion.
His 21 consecutive knockout wins to start his career are a world record.
His last fight was against Cornelius Lock in the undercard of the Mayweather vs Mosley bout where he won via Unanimous Decision.
Mexican Antonio Escalante (24 wins – 2 losses, 15 KOs) is a a two time Golden Gloves champion.
His last fight was against Edel Ruiz where he won via 3rd Round TKO.
