Today’s Google Doodle: Colorful BallsCategory: Computers
Google has an interesting doodle at its homepage today as the logo is replaced by balls (or dots) which try to move away from my StarCraft mouse pointer when it goes near them.
Although there’s nothing new with Google modifying its logo from time to time, this one is intriguing as Google has not offered any explanation for it.
When a doodle is made, usually it is to reflect holidays or special events (like birthdays of famous people or anniversary of invention of something useful).
However this balls (or dots) thing has set the Internet abuzz with people offering various explanations for its existence as Google has not offered any. You can’t also right-click it which usually takes you to a search phrase related to the doodle.
It reminds me of the UFO unexplained phenomenon doodle which was also clouded in mystery when it first came out.
Like the buckyball doodle, this one’s interactive too as the balls (or dots) in the logo will scatter if your mouse pointer go near them. If you keep your mouse still, the dots will eventually settle into place to spell “G-O-O-G-L-E”
Check out Google’s US version to see it. If you missed it, you can still watch the Google logo balls doodle below:
