Google Launches “Instant Search”

With a slogan of “Search: now faster than the speed of type”, our favorite search engine Google has launched Google Instant today.

So, this is what the hoopla with the September 7 and September 8 Google doodles is all about.

Google described its new feature with a series of tweets,

With Google Instant, we predict what query you’re typing & display the results for that query in real-time [12:57 AM September 9]

Key feature of Google Instant: dynamic results. Try typing “w” & you’ll get weather results with just one keystroke [1:06 AM September 9]

We’re working to bring Google Instant to mobile devices this fall [1:13 AM September 9]

Google Instant is rolling out to people w/ Instant-capable browsers in France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, U.K. & U.S. [1:41 AM September 9]

    I am not a fan of Google instant. Sometimes it auto-fills incorrectly. I have turned the option off.

    Haha, it gets annoying for me too. But I did not turn it off. I still doing some testing.
