2010 FIBA World Championship Third Place | Lithuania Wins First Ever Medal

After losing their respective semifinal matches; Serbia to Turkey and Lithuania to USA, the two teams will try to at least salvage some national pride by battling it out for Third Place in the 2010 FIBA World Championship.
They will meet at the at the Sinan Erdem Dome, Istanbul, Turkey on September 12, 2010 12:00 PM ET / 16:00 GMT.
If Serbia (6-2) wins, this will be their best finish since winning the championship in the 2002 edition.
For Lithuania (7-1), it is their first time to battle for third. This is also their highest attained round after placing 7th in 1998 and 2006 FIFA World Championship.

UPDATE: Linas Kleiza scored 33 points to help Lithuania win its first world basketball championship medal with a 99-88 victory over Serbia on Sunday in the third-place game.
