From the mind of M. Night Shyamalan comes another movie that borders on the supernatural, Devil.
If the name rings a bell, he was the writer and director for the Oscar Best Picture nominee, Sixth Sense.
Recently, he directed and produced the movie adaptation of Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender. But that was a diversion as he really specializes in scary movies with twist endings.
For his hardcore fans, Devil is a return to his forte.
It’s plot is intriguing enough:
Five strangers are trapped in an elevator in a Philadelphia office tower. After many strange and terrifying things happen to the group, they realize the Devil is amongst them in human form.
Who among them is Beelzebub? I’m sure this will have an unexpected twist ending as well.
Take note that there are no big-name stars here.
Devil will be the first of The Night Chronicles trilogy, which involves the supernatural within modern urban society.
Devil is directed and produced by Drew and John Erik Dowdle for a budget of $10 million.

While video is not yet up, check out the trailer. I like how it opens with an upside-down view of the Philadelphia skyline.
Devil is scheduled to be released in theaters worldwide on September 17, 2010 by Universal Pictures.

This movie looks totally creepy. I like scary movies but this kinda looks like the phone booth movie and that was lame.
