It is a sports mascot’s job to pump-up the crowd.
Before the college football game between Ohio University and Ohio State last September 18, a melee ensued between the team’s mascots, Rufus the Bobcat and Brutus the Buckeye when the former tackled the latter to the ground.
Not exactly the conventional way to do it but it pumped-up the crowd nevertheless.

Ohio University went on to lose 7-43 to Ohio State but at least its mascot Rufus the Bobcat had it 1-0 against Brutus the Buckeye.
