GSP Hits Manila: Experience the Rush Highlights

Widely considered as one of the top pound for pound MMA fighters in the world, Georges “Rush” St. Pierre came to visit Manila, Philippines for a 3-day promotional tour last September 23, 2010.

The event is titled “GSP Hits Manila: Experience the Rush” and was brought to the Filipino fans by Balls Channel, the exclusive home of the UFC in the country.

GSP guested at the noon-time show, Showtime where he showed some dancing skills and sparred with a sumo wrestler:

He also had an opportunity to visit Pacquiao (whom he calls one of his idols) and coach Freddie Roach at their gym where they are preparing for the Pacman’s showdown with Antonio Margarito:

His Manila visit ended with an open training session at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City:

Balls Channel earlier worked on bringing to the country UFC fighters like Filipino-American Brandon Vera and MMA legend Chuck Liddell to promote the UFC brand.

St. Pierre (20 wins, 2 losses) is a well-rounded mixed-martial arts fighter who is expert in Kyokushin, wrestling, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Both his stand-up and ground games are impressive.

Georges “Rush” St. Pierre AKA GSP hasn’t lost since 2007. He has also already defended his UFC welterweight championship for four consecutive times.

He has dominated his opponents so much that he is riding a  streak of 25 consecutive winning rounds and dominated his opponents in each one of them. That’s actually a UFC record if you’re not impressed.
