TUF 1o runner-up Brendan “The Hybrid” Schaub has since racked up two consecutive knockout wins after losing to Roy “Big Country” Nelson at the season finale.

At UFC 121, he faces former UFC Heavyweight top contender Gabriel Gonzaga.

This will be Schaub’s (6 wins, 6 by KO – 1 loss) debut on the main card of a pay-per-view.

Brazilian Gabriel Gonzaga (11 wins, 5 by KO – 6 by submission, 5 losses) won the 2004 Mundials, which is considered to be the top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition in the world. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He was a former contender for the UFC heavyweight championship but was defeated via TKO by Randy Couture at UFC 74.

In his last fight at UFC Live: Vera vs Jones, Gonzaga was knocked out by Junior dos Santos in Round 1.
