In his first fight back to the UFC after being defeated by UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida at UFC 84, Tito “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Ortiz headlined UFC 106 with Forrest Griffin.

However, that didn’t end good as well as he was defeated via split decision.

Scheduled to fight opposing coach Chuck Liddell in the 10th season of The Ultimate Fighter, that never materialized due to an injury to Tito.

Now healthy, he will face Matt “The Hammer” Hamill at UFC 121. Hamill was Ortiz’s first overall pick during Season 3 of the Ultimate Fighter.

American Tito Ortiz (15 wins, 8 by KO – 2 by submission, 6 losses and 1 draw) was one of the sport’s early-on stars, becoming the biggest pay-per-view draw of 2006. He was a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.

He is winless in his last four fights dating to December 2006 with one declared a draw.

American Matt Hamill (10 wins, 6 by KO – 1 by submission, 2 losses) is a three-time NCAA Division III National Champion in wrestling. He also has a silver medal in Greco-Roman wrestling and a gold medal in freestyle wrestling from the 2001 Summer Deaflympics.
