Google’s doodles are becoming better.

In honor of John Lennon’s 70th birthday, Google has in its homepage today a doodle of his famous caricature with a message saying, “Happy 70th Birthday, John Lennon! Click to play.”

When you do just that, the doodle is replaced by a 32-second animated clip playing Lennon’s iconic song, “Imagine”.

Here’s the video if you somehow missed the doodle.

John Lennon was born on October 9, 1940. He was one of the founding members of The Beatles.

He died on December 8, 1980 when he was shot by Mark David Chapman.

    Yes he is.

    Hehas been imprisoned at the Attica Correctional Facility in Attica, New York since 1981, having been denied parole six times.

    Each of Chapman’s applications for parole has been opposed by Ono.

    That’s according to the ever reliable Wikipedia.
