With last year’s Saw VI only generating $64 million at the box-office which was the first Saw movie to not reach $100 million, the producers decided to end the Saw movie franchise.

Seems like moviegoers have already grown tired of this “torture porn” movie eh?

Personally, I stopped watching it after Saw III. But just for closure, I’ll surely watch Saw 3D. I just hope that it will provide the answers to all the questions and not more questions.

I still felt cheated by Lost you know.

Billed as the final chapter in the series, Saw VII or Saw 3D will undoubtedly feature the most gruesome trap created by Jigsaw. Banking on the success of 3D films, it is also the first to go that path.

Tobin Bill reprises his role as John Kramer AKA Jigsaw.

Chester Bennington of Linkin Park also has a role playing a skinhead. As a big fan of the band, I’ll be curious on how Chester would fare in his acting debut.

PLOT (Wikipedia):

Survivors of Jigsaw traps from the previous films gather together to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow Jigsaw survivor Bobby Dagen. Some of these people include Simone, Mallick, Lawrence Gordon, Sidney, Addy and Tara.  The plot will also see Mark Hoffman and Jill Tuck battle over Jigsaw’s legacy.

Saw 3D is directed by Kevin Greutert and produced by Mark Burg, Oren Koules and Gregg Hoffman for a budget of $17 million.

Saw 3D was released in theaters on October 28, 2010 in Australia and United Kingdom and on October 29 in the USA by Lionsgate and Maple Pictures.
