Aside from towering over Manny Pacquiao with a 4 1/2 inches height advantage with Antonio Margarito standing at 5’11″ to the Filipino slugger’s 5’6″ 1/2, another huge disparity was shown at Saturday’s weigh-in.
There was a gasp at the crowd when it was announced that Pacquiao weighs only 144.6 lbs. That’s 5.6 lbs. below the catchweight of 150 lbs. agreed upon by both fighters. Margarito came in at the exact 150 lbs.
The Tijuana Tornado is expected to come into the ring at fight night at a heavy 160 lbs. while Pacman might only be around 147 lbs.
This will be a virtual battle between David and Goliath!
Here’s the Pacquiao vs Margarito weigh-in highlights:
What do you think?
Is Pacquiao too small and too light to chop down the huge Margarito? Or will Margarito be able to strike down Pacquiao with a single blow?
Fight night is November 13, 2010 from the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA. Fight time is at 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT.
