Rampage Jackson vs Lyoto Machida fight video

UFC 123 features two former UFC Light Heavyweight champions and both legends at their own right, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida.

Both are coming off lackluster performances, Rampage losing to Rashad Evans via unanimous decision at UFC 114 and Machida against Shogun Rua at UFC 113 in a devastating knockout fashion.

Rampage vs Machida

American Rampage Jackson (30 wins, 14 KOs/7 submissions – 8 losses) is the first person to unify any of the UFC and Pride FC championship belts, defeating Pride Fighting Championships Middleweight title holder Dan Henderson in 2007.

He has appeared as coach on The Ultimate Fighter Season 10 opposite Rashad Evans and has ventured into acting playing as B.A. Baracus in the movie The A-Team.

Brazilian Lyoto Machida (16 wins, 5 KOs/2 submissions – 1 loss) is previously undefeated before he met Shogun Rua.

He is currently ranked as the #2 light heavyweight fighter in the world and the #9 pound-for-pound fighter by Sherdog.

Machida for me. Rampage never really caught him while Machida continuously connected with his kicks. Round 3 definitely went to Machida.

I think the fight was awarded to Rampage by virtue of him being the aggressor in Round and Round 2. The judges looked into that aspect and forgot the technical side of it all.
